After seeing favorable reviews and hearing raves from friends, I decided to buy them. Unfortunately these things just aren’t going to work for me. They are much more uncomfortable to me (I’m not a fan of things in my ear canal) and seem like much more work to get to operate than the AirPods and AirPods 2, which were basically grab and go. I also seem to be getting headaches with them. For daily wear, AirPods are much better IMO. I could see using these for airplanes, but that is about it. Honestly I’ve always disliked noise cancellation even on Bose headphones, maybe the tech isn’t for me

Oh gosh - first things first - if you don't like earphones that go inside of your ear canal then definitely don't buy them. I like them because I feel that they offer a far better sound than earphones that simply balance on your ears, although the AirPods and even cheap Apple EarPods do well - the worst that I experienced were BANG&OLUFSEN A8 which sounds dull and incredibly flat/lifeless.
If AirPods fit your ears which they don't really for me, then brilliant. I can never get a proper fit - I either put them in too much & they sound very bassy and then manage to become loose in my ear or they simply drop out. The AirPods Pro on the other hand are perfect for me

Hmm - so I decided to try the large tips (I was previously using the small). The large tips feel a lot better as I can get a better “seal” without pushing the tips deep into the ear canal. I think I may keep these. I think think they are more “work” than the regular AirPods, and I intend to keep both pair for different purposss

People give up too easily.
Apple made these customisable, so customise them, people!
Try each Tip for an equal number of days during the 2 week returns period, then return them if no good.
If they work for you, then they’re basically the only ear buds you’ll ever need.
I am on my xx set of Pro‘s....too embarrassed to say how many but they have all failed with hardware and ANC issues.
My latest pair are now a week old and are performing perfectly. Obviously the ANC isn't as good as it was when we had the original firmware but it functions adequately and there is a very noticeable difference between ANC, Transparency and Off modes.
Although the model number is still the same at 1.0.0, they do seem to be better built than my previous sets.....somewhat studier but that may just be my imagination.
As for the seal test, well it hasn’t hasn’t let me down once.
Both AirPods seem to drain at an even rate with good battery substantially - 1.5 hours of play time and both reading at 79%.
So all good with this set and meeting expectations.

That’s where I settled with the Pros. I bought them for business trips. Plus, they’re great for when I’m mowing the lawn or vacuuming but I no longer use them on a daily basis. I find the AirPods 2 Design much more comfortable and convenient.
The fit is terrible. I am constantly having to push them in my ears to stop them falling out. Doesn't matter what size tips I use. So disappointing.
Have you noticed any difference in the sound between your various sets? I just got these and I feel like they sound worse than my airpods1. bass and other lows are really lacking and it all just sounds flat and mushed together. Seal test says I'm good though. Just wondering if its worth trying a different pair or if they're just not for me.

The first set sounded great with the original firmware but the noise cancelling hasn’t been as good on the other pairs. Having said that although my current AirPods are on 2B588 they do sound better. The noise cancelling still leaves a lot to be desired but the bass is spot on and the lows are excellent too.
Like most manufacturers of any products, it may be that Apple are doing minor hardware tweaks all the time. Although the noise cancelling isn’t there as it was with the original firmware which is a shame, this is definitely the best set of replacement AirPods that I’ve had.
It might be worth returning yours and trying another pair. See if you can get a January/February production from the factory
I just got mine and I found that getting that perfect seal can be tricky. Sometimes they're in right and the fit test says its good but the sound is off. I push in for a different angle and suddenly the bass kicks in.
Anyway, I'm returning mine because I think the problem may be my ear shape. The regular AirPods fit perfectly but these just dont feel as comfortable. I love the features so I'm going to see how I adjust but so far I prefer my old Airpods.
Wore the AirPods second gen today... So much more comfortable and easier to use. AirPods Pro are more of a specialist case...

This is my main issue with the Pro's - how are you meant to know if they will fit or not! Can these be tried on in an Apple Store (UK)?
Yes. If you ask they will let you try on a demo unit. Even if you buy, you still get 14 days to return them for a full refund.
Wanted to love the AirPod Pro’s. Even after trying all 3 tip sizes, I gotta bring them back. Extremely uncomfortable after wearing for an extended period of time. I guess my ears were made for the original design of the AirPod Gen 2’s.
Hi all, I got my Pros last week and I didn’t find the sound quality all that great. They have no bass response they are very flat sounding and sort of make things sound lifeless. I feel like my wired iPhone XR headphones sounded better.
Should I update firmware? For this price I’m pretty dissappointed. I never had the first Airpods so I cannot compared fit or sound to those.

It’s not guaranteed, but most people seem happy.
You read more of the bad news scenarios on places like this, so don’t be too put off.
That’s unusual. I found the original Airpods sounded better than the wired ones & then the Pros sounded better than the original Airpods.

In-ears I think are always a bit more work to insert compared to a typical AirPod / EarPods who just hang of the outside of your ears - but you achieve a much better seal with on-ears.
Both fit me fine (left generally better than right) but neither fit my wife. I’ve read on here that one will fit them but not the other and vice versa. Basically, you can’t really go by that. Everyone is different and nobody is perfectly symmetrical. It all depends on what fits a particular individual.
I’m about ready to return mine. I can’t seem to get the right ear to stay in place at all. The left never moves with the small tip but the right ear comes loose constantly with both the small and medium tip.
Am I doing something wrong? Are there any aftermarket tips I should try before giving up? I really want to keep them... it’s so nice not having to mess with the cord when working out!
