ok I bought a refurb Mini 2010 2.4 model and I want to return it to Apple, so when I call them and get an RMA ship it to them etc, how long does it take before I see the refund in my Bank, does anyone know or has anyone done this before?

My son bought it and decided to get a MBP new with his school discount and needs the money back but can not afford to wait too long?

Thanks

Well, they have to get the product back. So there's how fast you ship it. Once they receive it in the credit process will begin immediately. Used to be, credits to credit cards took up to a month, because credit card banks processed credits with your statement. But after the advent of check cards, which function as credit cards but debit your account almost immediately for cash, customers demanded similar service for refunds. Now actual credit cards function pretty much the same way, too. I usually see a credit applied to my credit or check card by two business days, with the funds available again at that time.

If it takes seven business to be received and processed by Apple, then a safe bet is 10 business days before you see the credit.

You are in new jersey it goes to PA send it via fedex 2 days for them to get it 3 to 5 business days for credit back to your cc plus the 2 to ship . min of 5 business days. max of 7 or 8 business days.
