Can anyone who has had to return an iMac for an exchange or repair please enlighten me as to what the process is?

Does Apple pay for shipping, and just give you a label to print?
What carrier do they use? UPS/Fedex/Other?
Can you arrange for pick up from your home, if you are unable to drop it off at a shipping location?

Thanks!

They will usually FedEX a box with a return label.

Put iMac in box, stick label on box, call for pickup.

Here in new england it took FedEx 2 days to get it back to an Apple warehouse in PA. Apple then considered the return complete (and then sent out a replacement). I was struggling with the BTO and just today purchased one in a store instead - retail, for me, was so much better. Good luck.
