I bought an iPhone on UK launch day and everything about it has been fine except for one thing: on any calls, I get RF interference on the iPhone internal speaker (the earpiece, not the bottom speaker) making calls incredibly irritating. It seems like the earpiece isn't shielded properly. It's been like this since I got it but with so much on over the last few weeks I haven't had a chance to get it looked at.
Anyway, I was finally able to confirm with colleagues who own iPhones that there's does not do this so I'm fairly confident that my iPhone is defective. I've booked a genius bar appointment for Sunday at the Brent Cross store.
What I'd like to know is, do I need to take the box and all of the bits and pieces that came with the phone in with me, or will just the handset do? If they agree that it is defective, can I expect a replacement there and then? It will be just outside of the 14 days but it has been like this since day one. Will they replace everything (box, plug etc.) or just the handset?
TIA!
