Really like the sound, but unfortunately it is too uncomfortable for me. I'm actually deep into the Apple ecosystem, so this is really unfortunate. My daily drivers are actually two pairs of airpods pros; I wear them all day, wear one pair while charging the other. I also have QC35, HD650, and K7xx. None of those can compare with the comfort and convenience of the two pairs of Airpods Pros.

While I was debating whether to keep the Airpods Max, I went out today and bought a pair of H95s, because I was impressed by how they sound on Brian Tong's Youtube binaural video. The H95 is certainly very good and is a lot more comfortable than the Max. I do miss the transparency mode on the max though; didn't anticipate that I'll like it so much. Will decide on whether to keep my H95s in a few weeks.

i must be the only person who thinks the APM is the most comfortable set of headphones I've used. They don't even feel heavy to me.
I use computer all day and have neck/upperback problems, so every gram counts towards comfort. QC35 is supremely comfortable, H95 (~320g) isn't bad. For some reason APM doesn't work for me. The headband is very comfortable, but I feel a lot of weight around my ears. Partly it's the clamping, but also I feel the weight whenever I move my head and it's very distracting.

Likewise, I was hoping the APM would be as good as Bose when it comes to comfort, but they are not even close.

I really had only 2 minimal requirements:
- Be very comfortable (equal or better than the Bose QC35II)
- Be water resistant (like the Bose NC 700 and Airpods Pro)

But I will be keeping them as I still can find a use case for them which is:
- phone calls and video calls (seems the APM has got the best microphones based on my testing)
- short outdoor walks (because it is not water resistant, I need to becareful for light rain)

I don’t think I could consider them the most comfortable set. However I am also at a loss feeling that even some folks say they are TOO heavy and clamp TOO much. Maybe they have never used Audeze, those are totally uncomfortable.

Yes, maybe in comparison to some others but not a showstopper as far as I am concerned as far as the APM goes.
Again, I am at a loss and I have already worn them for hours and I basically got them a few days ago.

Maybe a return is in order in some cases and try another set? Confused really though.

I can see a pretty decent percentage of folks returning them as far as cost goes however. The Airpod Pros are a much much better bang for buck.

I would have to actually audition the H95s before I flat out purchased them which is doable so maybe I will. BUT I really think the price will drop rather quickly so I will wait.

Returning mine later this week as well. I got a pair of XM4's for 1/2 the price. My Airpod Pros are still what I grab when running out of the house and need something compact, convenient, and sound great. The maxes are too heavy, too clunky to travel with (my XM4's that cost half as much come with a hard case I can just toss in a bag), and don't sound 2.5x better than my Pros. A shame.
