Hi
I currently have a 20" 2.4 ghz imac and was wondering if a rev A refurbished 1.6 ghz MBA would be a good companion notebook? I would use it for surfing the net, itunes, office and some basic video editing in imovie. I could get this for £749 refurbished

OR

i could get a new 2.0 ghz alu macbook for £807 tax free. I would use this for the things as I said I would use the MBA for.

Any thoughts would very much appreciated

Get the Air if your not going to do very much Video editing.
Get the Macbook if your going to do quite a bit.
Everything else, itunes, interwebs should be quite good on both.

Since you have a Imac, I guess you probably wont do much Video editing on the air.
So I'd get the air.

Its all up to you.

I have the Alu macbook and its Amazing. It seems very light and i barley notice it in my bag. It's really up to you.

I think the MacBook Air would be a wonderful companion for you and your iMac.
When you are on the go, take the Air. You will enjoy it very much.
Good luck with your decision! :)

I think that I am going to go for the unibody macbook because I think I will appreciate the extra power and HDD space when I need them. Thanks for the quick replies.
