Is there any way to do this without completely starting from scratch? I had the 10.12.1 beta on, and then updated to beta 2 and now half my apps won't launch because of corruption. Was going to try to reinstall 10.12 regular release, and it says "OS_X_FULL_MARKETING_NAME cannot be installed on this computer.

If you are installing betas I assume you follow apple's advice to make a time machine backup each time you update.

So you can then easily restore from the backup of 10.12.1 beta 1 or 10.12 public release or final GM.

On the other hand if you had no such backup, you can clean install 10.12. This is generally more difficult because you then have to also reinstall all your apps too.

If this is the case I would suggest doing a backup before doing the clean install too so as to not lose any data.

The last backup I have is from right before I installed is macOS Sierra pre-release dev beta... so it's a El Capitan beta, which works fine too, so I restored to that, now updating to Sierra... I'm trigger shy now so not going to do betas anymore :-(

Restored to backup 10.11 and then updated to 10.12 public release... can you help me out with this... so I'm DONE with these shoddy Apple Betas (just restored to OSX 10.11 and then updated to OSX 10.12 public release thanks to 10.12.1 beta 2 bricking my macbook pro)... since I was enrolled in the beta program, it's prompting me to update to 10.12.1 beta 2. I clicked the app store and unchecked the "download beta releases" but in the app store it still shows the update.

Is it possible since I unchecked the beta downloads, that I can make the 1 update disappear? It's bugging me, especially since it's a friggin Lion icon, jeez Apple, come on!
