Not too long ago I done something just like this, I set up my own web design buisness planning on offering affordable one off payment designs.

It didn't go down too well unfortunately. And I can tell you now that people who have been the buisness for a while are going to convince you that charging by the hour is the way to go.

But I do belive you asked for critisism on the site not your buisness plan so I can see you used dreamweaver and tables to layout your site, I would suggest trying to use css instead of this method if possible for more flexibility.

Also for some reason I found myself clicking the contact link first then going backwards to the home page. might just be me, might be a misleading layout.

Other than that not bad at all

- You shoud really read this book if you're serious. It will be the best thing you've ever done. ;)

- Oops!

- Tables are for tabular data, not layout! ;)

Humm, I'll give you my most honest opinion.

I find the menu a bit ackward especially for people over 30 years or so because the font is not clean and the sideways position might be a little confusing to the average user.
I'm all for pixel fonts (you can write the text in photoshop and save the image as a two coloured GIF, really small file for some nice crisp text).
One thing that would change the whole appearance of the site is the use of flash for the navigation menus, make them "move" a little, information is above everything else but in a flat HTML site I always think one or two small flash elements can make the difference. And if you really want to make a living out of web-design flash is a must-know tool, that's my advice of course. But I think it's a start, if you really put work into it maybe it will become even greater than what you expect :)

As for the Enter page, you shouldn't remove it, it serves the purpose to let the user know what are the minimum requirements to view the site correctly (display resolution, if it requires any plugin, etc...). Best regards and post when you make some updates :)

Pretty good...

hi guys n girls,
just wondering can you review my site and give me some pointers, also I'm thinking of dumping the enter page.

thanks

I personally don't love the design (colours/naviagtion ect) but that is personal to each and everyone.

I would definately drop the 'Enter' page. Its just not required and I don't understand why any site bothers with them.

Lastly, I know it's not complete but check for spelling mistakes always. IN your 'Payments FAQ', you have 'check', and not 'cheque'.

Other than this, I find it pretty good.

Cheers, David
