Humm, I'll give you my most honest opinion.
I find the menu a bit ackward especially for people over 30 years or so because the font is not clean and the sideways position might be a little confusing to the average user.
I'm all for pixel fonts (you can write the text in photoshop and save the image as a two coloured GIF, really small file for some nice crisp text).
One thing that would change the whole appearance of the site is the use of flash for the navigation menus, make them "move" a little, information is above everything else but in a flat HTML site I always think one or two small flash elements can make the difference. And if you really want to make a living out of web-design flash is a must-know tool, that's my advice of course. But I think it's a start, if you really put work into it maybe it will become even greater than what you expect
As for the Enter page, you shouldn't remove it, it serves the purpose to let the user know what are the minimum requirements to view the site correctly (display resolution, if it requires any plugin, etc...). Best regards and post when you make some updates
