Ever noticed this?

More than half of the reviewers on the apps store make very childish comments and complaints. Like, "it doesn't work! give me my money back!" "make this game free plzzzzzzzzz!" or sometimes they say the app is really great, and they accidentally give it one star. IMO there are too many idiots reviewing apps on the app store. There are plenty of other stupid comments I come across, but i can't remember them. Does any one else agree with me? Or am i the only one that thinks this?

well, there are a lot of iPhones/iPod touches out there, so some 7yr olds might own some of them. you might just have to try the app for yourself or forget about the app and move on. there isn't a whole lot you can do

Yeah... but it seems like the review are filled with random spam. :(

Kind of sounds like MR, huh? So, since that's the way it is in this forum, why are you surprised the app store is any different?

for sure it is. Almost everything that is from the mass online community will turn out like that. Case and point, youtube.

You just need to filter throught the crap and find the more rational reviews. It'd be difficult for Apple to filter through the reviews and remove the ones that seem "immature"

I agree with you both..
I guess we'll just have to live with it! :D

I agree. It seemed to help immensely when they changed it so that you must have purchased the app in order to leave a review, but still didn't solve it completely. As mentioned above, when in doubt about the star ratings of something I'm really interested in, I just read through to see what's being complained about and make my own judgements. Annoying, but what else can you do?

Did they make it so you could only review an app if you'd purchased it possible through a iPhone/iPod touch software update, or did they update the iTunes server to make this possible?

I'd guess it would be the iTunes server as this "remembers" all your purchases. Plus if you try and do the same thing on your computer, you get the same error, correct?

Have you ever watched any video reviews of people with iphones or ipod touches on youtube? They're almost all under 18. Mommy & daddy buy these kids an expensive phone and a bunch of games for it so they're automatically an expert

That's pretty unfair to automatically assume that. I have to work to pay for my phone, iPod, etc....

You realize you're basically describing the MR forums, don't you?
