I just bought the macbook air (1.6/80) at bestbuy for 1299. It was the last sealed box, woot.

Curious though, this doesn't occur on my other laptop so I know it's not bandwidth issues.

I am watching office at full screen, half way into it the video starts to stutter bad. I don't mind the cpu fans going full speed, or the heat, because that's the nature, however I can't stand the stuttering.

Has anyone had experience in Revision 1 and watching hulu and getting it not to stutter half way into the episode?

By the way nothing else is opened and/or running. Just safari. I also installed Flash 10 and updated the MBA completely with 3.2 safari.

Open up the activity monitor. Are all the cores maxed out?

Have you installed all of the updates?

It may be the CPU lowering your processor speed to avoid a core shutdown. Read up on it in the forums to educate yourself, most likely, it is the core shutdown. I personally have coolbook installed where it loweres the voltage allowing me to play videos without the studdering issue.

I'd return it since its new see if a unit is different and does not have this issue, then bitch at apple for it. They should compensate us for having to spend money on buying the coolbook software ($10) for false advertising.

Vent Spacing

I had the same issue with my rescently purchased MBA. I fould that while watching Hulu or any other flash sites for any amount of time the video would start to stutter.

I fould that by sitting the computer on a book to lift it off the bed/couch to allow for air flow from the vents the video played better. The fan was still at full throttle but like you said, that's fine with me as long as the video doesn't stutter.

Enjoy spending 1800+ dollars on a new machine when all it takes is Coolbook ($10) to fix it.

Anyone who bought or still has the RevA, download and install Coolbook. I can watch Hulu fullscreen with 1.6/80gig proc no problem.

I have my custom built PC at home for games/heavy usage. The reva right now is the perfect machine, haven't ran into any problems so far.

Other then this post, but the coolbook fixed the issue.

Before coolbook, it wouldn't take 5 minutes in full screen and it would start to stutter. After coolbook, I've watched 5 episodes of the Riches full screen no problem. Coolbook should be getting some serious dough from Apple.

I only have stuttering issues when the video doesn't stream fast enough to keep up.

Usually I just pause the video and let it download and then its fine.

Otherwise have have no issues watching the Flash based sites. I am using Flash 10 though, which seems to be an issue for some sites.
