Rich Notification for Received Images

I was wondering if developers of message apps can now send a preview of the image sent as part of the notification, instead of a <contact> sent you an image banner.

In current iOS 10 beta 1 there is no sign of such rich notification. But hey, you can enter the context of notification and see image from there. So I think it is not that needed.

in iMessage you can see a small thumbnail of the pic in notifications, I think this is open to other messaging apps to implement when iOS 10 is out.

Thank you for your reply. In iOS 9, only iMessage gets to do do that.
