The Misty Mountains
Rift: Planes of Telara- PC Game. Saw it advertised in the latest PCGamer with the quote "you are not in Azeroth anymore" as if this is something really new. (I played WoW for 2.5 years). Found this link at Kotaku. Most of my energy is saved up for SW:TOR. I'm very hesitant to jump into a new unknown mmo. The article talks about rifts and invading hordes. Can it be inferred this is primarily a PVE combat game?

Anyone here excited about this game? Looking for some other perspectives. Thanks!

already pre-ordered two copies for me and my wife. played through beta 1-4. i like it a lot.
so i would say: it´s nice not to be in azeroth anymore :)

my wow account is closed since 1.1.2011 and won´t be opened again anytime soon.

with pre-order you will get in all coming betas until release. headstart is about 24 or 27 feb. if i remember right.

Played most of the beta-weekends and i have to say it seems to be a really great game. Nearly no bugs or problems during the game, everything seems polished and it's fun to play.

difficult to say. in the last beta 4 we were only able to play up to lvl 27.
i only reached around 20 with my 3 chars.
i never had the feeling that the game will force me to play in a group.
for the instances you will need a group however :D
