Hello,

Running Sonoma on a desktop.

I might be wrong about how I remember this.
If so, blame it on old age now.

I remember that right clicking on a shortcut, or something in the bottom bar (Dock ?)
with the mouse would bring up an option to go directly to the Folder that had the program.

No more.

What am I, as usual, missing please ?

Regards,
Bob

I suspect that you may be thinking of Spotlight results, where you searched for the program or file in question. Then, a right click on a returned result would provide a "Reveal in Finder" or "Show in Enclosing Folder" selection. Could that be what you are thinking of?

I often use Spotlight to type in the first letter or two of an app's name and then launch the app from the returned result. Spotlight is a great so launcher! So, I can see that this could be quite a common scenario. If instead of launching the app, you right clicked the result, I am pretty sure you would get a "Reveal in Finder" selection.

If I'm understanding what you're referring to, you should be able to right click on an item in the dock and display it in the Finder via the "Options" popup submenu.
