Anyone know if it is possible to make the 15 inch mbp have the same two finger right click that the 17 inch has? Its just a software thing. I don't really want extra add-ons, just the extra option in the mouse preference panel. Maybe someone could post the preference pane file, and I could see if it will work on my 15 inch mbp?

It is a great feature on the 17" MBP... I don't know if it is available on the 15"... The way to activate it on the 17" is:
- Open System preferences
- Click on Keyboard and mouse
- Choose the tackpad tab
- under trackpad gestures place a check mark next to "place two fingers on trackpad and click button for secondary click"

You mean Apple ripped off a feature from iScroll2?

Anyway, I've been enjoying this for some time on my 15" PowerBook and it's something I sorely miss on my MBP. Let's hope somebody works out if it's possible to do a similar hack with the new Apple USB trackpads.

After just a few days of using the 2 finger right click on my MBP, I have to say that it's a great feature. I don't know how I manage without it.
The only thing missing now is a "middle" click; so that I can open links in new tabs in safari without having to hold down the apple key. A three finger tap perhaps?

This appears to be a software issue, not a hardware issue. The MBP 15" can obviously detect whether or not you have two fingers on the trackpad (for scrolling).
I'd bet that either iScroll releases a version that supports the 15" MBP, Apple releases the software, or a hacker figures out how to enable this.
If it's software, why does it have to wait for Rev B?
I have a bluetooth mouse, but mice only really work when you're sat at a desk. I probably spend 40-50% of my time with my laptop on my lap.
Apple seem to be coming up with some good ideas with touch pads. Two finger scrolling is excellent, much better than sliding your finger down the edge of the touch pad like you have to do with most pc laptops. Two finger tap is great too (even if they were not the first). I'm sure that they'll think of some great additions soon enough.

Anyone using Boot Camp on an MBP must be a bit screwed without the right mouse button. I for one thought Apple would finally release a two buttoned MBP using the same click technology as in the Mighty mouse, one button but touch sensors to recognise which side you're clicking.
It looks like this is a software thing though on the 17"ers so I guess you can't right click in Windows.

i found some program that allows ctrl + click to work for right click as it does in mac os, i just have it load at start up, if anyone is interested i will find out program next time i play counter strike...
This is useful until you realise that to highlight multiple items (multiple files in Explorer for example) you press Ctrl while you click. It kinda messes that up. It'd be nice if that app allowed you to customise the button you hold down.skillz1318 said:
