right click problem!

ok i was on 10.3.4 with two users, root and admin, on root whenever i right clicked the finder crashed, this did not happen on admin, and since i used admin pretty exclusively i ignored it, however i just upgraded to tiger, then to 10.4.2, and the problem has again come back!, i have only one user(admin), any help would be apprieciated as this is hurting my productivity badly.

PS: when i right click in safari, mail etc it's fine, it's just on the finder and desktop windows when it happens, thanks for any help

Are you actually right clicking or do you have a single button mouse and you're CONTROL-clicking?

Maybe try deleting the Finder preferences.

i'm running root atm and right click works fine both with ctrl and my two button mouse.

thanks for the help but i figured it out, it appears the magic menu extension from stuffit deluxe was screwing me, so i deleted it and it was fine
