Hello all. I am looking for some opinions/options. I have the 2021 IPP. I am using a Bluetooth Mouse(either Logitech or Microsoft). Both work very well. However, one feature that seems to be missing is the ability to right click on the mouse(or MKB for that matter) and go back to the previous page(if for example in Safari). This seems like a glaring oversight and much needed. Is there a 3rd party app that would allow you to go Back when right clicking that can be added to the functionality of the mouse? And is this an IPP limitation or a mouse limitation or both?

It is a limitation in the supported mouse actions in iPadOS. I have both Logitech (MX Master 3) and Microsoft (Surface Arc) mice that I have used with my iPP and neither have supporting apps for remapping controls on the iPad.

You can go back with Apple key+[ (I think, from memory) on the keyboard, in Safari at least - but right click and back doesn’t seem to exist yet.

To be fair, even on windows, right click to go back is not used for standard 3 button mouse, but mostly reserved for gaming mouse that has tons of extra buttons. Since there is no “right click” thing on iPadOS just like on macOS (bottom right corner), I don’t think this is really possible.

Actually I thought the op was just speaking of the right click contextual menu that appears when you right click. It contains a back button in safari on macos. This type of right click (equivalent tap and hold) does exist in ipados, just not yet in Safari.

You can customize Mouse buttons on iPadOS.

Settings > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > Devices > [Select your mouse] > Customize Additional Buttons > Button 2 > choose

Sadly, I don’t see “back”, but maybe you find something useful and you can also map shortcuts to it so maybe there is some way to get what you want.

Yes, that is correct. It would be so helpful to have the ability to go ‘back’ using the mouse as a right click option in Safari….
