It's so fiddly and it doesn't function smartly as you'd want it, just because there is such a lack of options to customize everything how you'd want it. I can get Android done perfectly to how I want it, but IOS is like "no" "no "no"...

Little things like not being able to turn on low power mode permanently, not being able to put a camera shutter key where I want it, why can't I put icons where I want? They always auto push to the top left. Why can't I turn on vibration for when I'm typing? Why can't I easily just get my files on and off my phone by plugging it into my PC? Why can't I get rid of the search when I swipe left?

Why can't I frigging turn off that stupid warning that data is turned off every time I open certain apps? I know it's off, I turned it off because I have a data cap and I don't want to use power because the ****ing battery life is terrible.

It's just why why why with this phone, Apple make it so hard to just use it in a way that is easy and makes sense. iCloud is the biggest cluster ****, I don't get why it cannot just function like Google Drive, why do they always have to make things harder to use? Not having functionality doesn't make something easy, it makes it impossible and not a good experience.

I keep doing it to myself really, I go away for awhile, I'm happy and then I somehow get drawn into the hype and the frustration. I just wish'd Apple could make the smartest change every to IOS and allow you to have the OS function how you want it to. Why can't we have something like Windows Phone live tiles? Why can't we have custom themes? Why isn't there an option for everything on the phone? Do you want a constant warning about Data being off or not for example, that should be a setting.

The phone is nice, IOS is dated and in need of a major overhaul.

Welcome to iOS and its very well known approach to control more on its own rather than putting it in users' hands.

Sounds like you bought the wrong phone. I don't feel bad for you. You should've done your research.

Sounds like you'd be happier on android. Why'd you buy an iPhone if you like customization?

Looks like you want an Android phone. The S6 looks good if that's what you're after.

iOS isn't Android. There's no point in spending time and money being miserable hoping for it to be something that it isn't.

This could change in the future, but for now, what you see is what you get.

Most of the complaints are their for various reasons. The data window on certain apps is because unlike android, apple tried to provide a unified approach to error messages, and UI. Would you go to a mcdonalds chain and order a chicken sandwhich but at one mdconalds, you get a salad, and another you get a chicken sandwhich? IOS has it's flaws, but one of the largest positives, is that you can almost always expect the same menu type, error type, and annoying UI stuff throughout most of the apps. This like others have said, is almost like a life choice, you either hate it, or love it. you likely got spoiled by android ( as i did ), but their are some things that apple does to make up for those, like reading something on my ipad, then moving it over to my phone without having to pull it back up, IMESSAGE, etc etc. These are not very useful to many, but, it was useful enough for me to switch.gotta give a little to get a little. Hope you find the right android phone for you :)

www.samsung.com should solve all the problems you are mentioning.

You pointed out your own problem. Stop relying on hype and, instead, rely on your specific needs/wants to determine the solutions that you use. Popular and what works best for the individual are not always the same thing. If you know that your preferences don't align with what's popular then why rely on popularity?

Be careful with your use of "you" and "I". The iPhone works the way I want it or else I wouldn't use it. Again, use whatever works for you.

All my devices are jailbroken on 8.4, and so I get the best parts of Apple alongside real flexibility.

Before my first iPhone I had a Samsung capacitive thing. I recall trying to get it to do things iPhones could do. Someone in the forum said, "If you want it to do what iPhones do, buy an iPhone." So I did. Haven't looked back.

This is a REALLY dumb post This is like buying a Lamborghini and getting on their message board and complaining that there's no room for your luggage. And it gets bad gas mileage. And too many cops are watching you. You need a minivan dude. What are you doing here?

I love this analogy.

Seriously OP should save himself the headache by returning his phone and getting an Android. I think new iOS users coming from a different OS should really do some research first.
