I work construction and use my AirPods for receiving and making calls, opposite to everyones complaints I can hardly hear my phone ring it is way softer than music or actual people speaking to me, can I make it louder? I have tried everything on the phone.

All you can do after maxing the ringtone volume is select a higher pitched ringtone & use vibration with it.

There’s one called “iPhone ad ring” which was used in one of their commercials years ago that’s pretty ear piercing. Just be careful with AirPods as it can really shock your ear drums if on full volume.

There's no chance of hurting my ear drums, i don't have "iPhone ad ring" my phone is an 8 and I'm trying the ring tone called Digital for tomorrow, see how that goes, I think Apple made it so quiet because everyone whinged about ti being too loud, it really needs its own volume.
