This volume keeps turning itself back down to about 20% all the time. I have always had this set to full volume. After the iOS13 update, I am not hearing notifications. I look under Sounds and Haptics and the volume slider is back down again.

I keep moving it back to full volume.

How do I make it stay at full volume??

Same here W/ iPhone X. Not sure which version iOS 13 started it as took awhile to realize it wasn’t me accidentally hitting side button, or something set wrong accidentally in settings.

Thread on Apple‘s forum caused me to find when mine does it. It’s when it connects to car Bluetooth.

Not consistent exactly when ringer volume goes down for all. Some, can just startup car, after BT connects, then shutoff car and get out, volume has gone down. Mine will not do that, even if let car idle A while.

I have to drive at least 10 min or so, then stop, shut off car...then I have found the ringer volume gets lowered every time.

some report that turning off the button control of ringer in setting stops it, I haven’t tester that, but probably will. I would prefer to be able to use the side buttons to set (and double check) ringer volume.

Turning the button control off doesn’t stop it. The volume does weird things showing up and adjusting when connected to my car Bluetooth also and it keeps setting my ringer volume low or to zero. This started with iOS 13. Still happens with 13.2. I have a Chevrolet Volt. But it seems like there is a non Bluetooth bug also. I’m not connected now and I just turned it up to max and then went back and then reopened up the volume settings again and it was back down to no volume. The volume setting change didn’t save. I have missed alarms at least twice due to this so far. 😣

This is what causes it for me. And I have change with buttons turned off in sounds.

Play some music or podcast. Lock the phone. While the music is playing if you toggle the volume buttons it will change the music volume. If you then pause the music from the lock screen and then toggle the volume, like you are turning the volume down because you aren’t playing anymore, this now is actually turning down the ringer volume. PITA. Has to be a bug.

I came here to see if anyone else was experiencing this problem. I have an iPhone 11 Pro. I’m actually on call for work and twice now have almost missed emergency calls because my phone volume has turned itself down to almost silent. I lay down for bed and double check that my ringer is at over 50% volume, yet when calls come in some of them are very very quiet. My alarm has also lowered itself and thankfully I’m a pretty light sleeper. My phone isn’t connected to anything at the times it’s happening; it is on my nightstand doing nothing. This is a major problem!

This also happens when ending a Facetime Video call. Both volume sliders appear briefly, and it sets my ringer/alert volume to the same (very low) volume I have my media playback volume set to.

So, my fix (for what I believe is a pretty serious bug that's not been fixed in many weeks) is to either turn the media volume uo and make sure it's always high, or toggle the "change ringer volume using buttons" option in settings to off. I'm currently doing the latter, and now my ringer/alert volume never changes. Not what I want, as I like to adjust it using the buttons rather than having to go into settings, but it'll have to do for now.

I created a feedback ages ago and it was ignored. I've created another one.

I don't see Apple bothering to fix this as they seem to have given up trying to get iOS13 bug free.
