I hope someone in this forum can help me.
I finally found a solution that extends the GS battery life, but it may have damaged the ringer on my Iphone.
I have found that if I keep the Iphone turned OFF I can go 2-3 weeks before I have to charge the battery again. I only turn the phone ON when I need to make a call. However, I have noticed that the phone doesn't ring anymore. This has become really troublesome because my boss and girlfriend can no longer reach me until I turn the phone back ON and retrieve their voicemails. Of course when I turn the phone on and use it I have to charge it more frequently.
Has anyone else experienced what I will call the "Ringer will not work when phone is OFF" problem?
Is there an App that will fix it? Will the next software upgrade fix this bug? What about the next generation of Iphone, will Steve heed our call and repair this defect?
BTW my phone is not jailbroken, so that is not the problem. And I keep it in a hermetically sealed nitrogen filled bag since I purchased it so it's not moisture related either. I would appreciate any help.
