I have an iPhone 8 Plus running on iOS 12. I drive a 2017 Ford Explorer Sport. I always keep the ringer/volume on my phone set to 1/4 of the max. Whenever I disconnect from CarPlay, the ringer/volume gets turned up all the way. Is there a setting on my phone or in my car that I am overlooking? I want the ringer/volume to return to 1/4 of the max after I disconnect from CarPlay. I'm tired of getting startled by calls and texts shortly after exiting my car. Yes, I could keep my phone on silent and use vibrate, but I shouldn't have to. Anyone experience the same thing, and if so, how did you resolve it?

I have the same problem with my 2107 Ford Edge. I do not use Car Play. Just connecting my phone thru Bluetooth is enough to run the ring volume all the way up. Sorry I do not have a fix for the problem but will be watching to see if anyone does have a solution.
