Ringtone help

I made a ringtone, but it doesn't show on my list. ITunes shows the ringtone and it even shows in the ringtones folder in iTunes on the device, but when I go to the phone and look for the ringtone, it's not there. I've tried syncing, re-syncing, deleting everything and syncing again, but nothing works. Did Apple change how ringtones are handled? Will it only allow ringtones purchased from the Apple store now? I made sure it is checked off as sync all ringtones and it is checked.

I have had this with any file longer than 40 seconds. I've also had it with others, where I had to reencode them at AAC/128, drag them out of iTunes, change the extension to m4r and drag it back into iTunes.

I want my old longer ringtones back though.

I already changed it to M4R and its only 30 seconds long. I didnt buy it from itunes either.

In your Iphone sound setting and list of ringtones, did you check on top called Custom? it should show list of your custom ringtones, not in standard ringtones.

I dont see custom ringtones anywhere
