My husband and I got the new iPhone on Friday. It's our first iPhone, so we're pretty excited. He uses his Mac for is iTunes, I use my PC (yes, I want to convert, but can't logically do it when there isn't anything wrong with the PC). He has garage band and can make ringtones. Can I have him make me some, and put the on mine, or am I out of luck?

He can make them, and then just transfer the .m4r files to your PC, then you just have to drag them into iTunes.

I have to research this. He's saying it will only let him make it from songs he's purchased from itunes. Hm..
If he just opens up iTunes and then just drags a song from iTunes straight into Garage Band he can use any song he wants.
Just told him that, I googled (I love google). He's just too impatient to do that himself. Great, hopefully I can get him to make me some (or, heck, I can sneak on when he's at work and do it myself) tomorrow.

Both of you can use myxer.com. There are a ton of iPhone-ready ringtones there.

Just remember if you easily want to bring up the ringtone selection bar just push the "C" key!

I tried this and it is asking for my mobile phone number. I do not have text messaging and do not want to have to pay for their confirming message. Is there any way to get the ringtone from them without giving out the iPhone number? I did download the silent ringtone in the link you provided in another post . Thanks for that one....

I've downloaded probably 20-30 ringtones from the site, and never registered or given any information.
