Just like in true Apple fashion they produce a solution and in the process will most likely kill competition for streaming music apps.

I think Apple Music will be a huge success.

If they can offer the same amount of music as Spotify while integrating your current music in your library this will be huge.

The interface looks amazing and the curation feature looks great as well.

I just hope they dont kill the current radio options on Music app because i listen to the ESPN radio alot on the current integration.

Thank Apple!

Doesn't it include every song on iTunes? If so then already it has more music than Spotify.

I don't know why Jay thought he could take on tech companies. Then again, its a write off for him anyway.

Tidal was never going to make it. Starting a brand new library isn't practical. It was a matter of time for Apple to make their unmatched library subscription. All players including Spotify are very very worried now that Apple Music is coming.

i dont think Tidal is new. Jay-Z bought another streaming platform from sweden(?) and re-branded it like Apple did with Beats. forgot its name. this is where all those people subscribed to it come from so far. sad lol

I think the only two players left standing will be Spotify and Apple music...obviously. You just can not compete with Apple ecosystem and $$$

Tidal? But, but, Beyonce and Jay-Z are going to save them by launching their joint album together. Lol.

Yes, but either way Tidal was starting a very uphill battle. Jay Z trying to make it work isn't going to make it better. They trie doing exclusive content like videos on there from Nicki and others, but they quickly released to other platforms like Vevo because people weren't signing up for Tidal for such exclusives.

If Apple makes a utility to bring over your Spotify playlists, it's RIP Spotify. People aren't going to making playlists over just to get on Apple Music.

I use Spofity Premium, but all my playlists are curated by others and my Starred Playlist, so I don't have any investment in it. I just listen to stuff I wouldn't buy or normally listen to.

I've been subbing to Spotify Premium for 4 years, but I don't have any playlists that I've carefully made, aside from what's in Starred. Everything else can be easily replicated.

This may be huge, if they will offer the whole library. There are artists who've stayed out of Spotify (Peter Gabriel, for one) but I doubt they would drop out of iTunes, it's way too big.

I spoke to the CEO of tidal last October. Nice guy, and not there anymore since they sold. I told him it wouldn't make it here. The main thrust was cd quality, uncompressed, streaming, at a starting price of $20 a month. Marketing at young people. I said that it wouldn't sell at that price, and most younger people don't care about cd quality, uncompressed.

Well, they sold it for $56 million, and now there's a compressed version for $9.99 a month as well. Still won't make it. They don't even have all the agreements in place to stream albums from all of the musicians who bought the thing.

He didn't rebrand it, just re-launched it. It was still already called Tidal before he bought it.

Tidal is still very active and strong in the audiophile community. Check out audiogon forums and people are happy with the service. Until Spotify or Apple music provide lossless flac music quality, tidal will win that hifi war.

$60?!! Jay-z and Beyoncé are really from another planet. They make so much money they probably think this is pennies.

Well all they need is 60 bucks a month from 100000 customers n they can buy a few private jets to go on a vacation to Caicos.
