What dimensions or what does iTunes use for movies? Soon I will be owning a 32GB 3GS and I plan on ripping a bunch of DVD's sitting here and I need to know what would look best on the iPhone and TV if I desire to use it on there. Thanks.

What if I want to display it on a TV? Surely that dimension would look like ****.

i think HB has an apple devices seeting too.. or maybe just an itunes setting.. cna t rmemebr, either or... that setting will look good in your tv and will look good on you iphone. You may compromise a bit on file size i think but then youw ont have to have a file for each..so at the edn is better methinks ( tried it on iphone 2g and 3gs and teh tv is a 42 in plasma) hope that helps

Handbrake has a toggle presets button. If you click it a little menu will slide out from the right. On it will be pre coded presets for apple and other formats. If your dvd's have copy protection on them you will need to remove it before you can use handbrake.

Not really. About the same as VHS.

The pixel resolution may be about the same as VHS, but the visual quality is far better. Better color, sharper image. I use the iPhone profile from Handbrake and watch the files using a projector on an 83" screen and the video quality is certainly watchable. The quality is noticeably less than DVD, but unless I'm watching a visually rich film with lots of special effects, the difference is not missed.

This is true, especially with MP4 encryption. And to be honest, analog TVs aren't really capable of much higher resolution than that. Now, if you want to watch it on an HDTV, that's another story.
