I have an Apple Smart Keyboard for the 9.7” Pro and it is starting to randomly accrue these small tears/rips on the front part. I have only had the ASK for 2 weeks, have never dropped it, and take really good care of it. I have no idea where they came from, and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Is this something anyone has heard of? Would it be worth it to talk to Apple about it?

Thanks

Since there are no moving parts on a keyboard, then obviously the damage must have come from something you did to it. It looks like something scraped against it.

The only thing that I could think of was if I had sat it down twice on parts of a table or desk that had something sharp that could do that. I have had several iPads with Smart Covers and have never had this happen, and I take as good care of my gadgets as anything I own so I rarely have stuff like this happen. I just didn't know if others have had issues and if it was a potential defect.

I was just surprised by it considering I've never had this issue.
