Risk 2 color problem

hey everyone,
i installed Risk 2 on my Macbook running Snow Leopard and for some reason the colors are messed up in the menu and in the game. The startup colors are correct (Macsoft logo, intro etc.) but when the menu shows the colors look like this:

does anyone know how to fix this?
