I have an iPhone 13 Pro that I like so much, I didn't even pay attention to the iPhone 14 rumors or watch the event today. But with AT&T offering me $1,000 to upgrade and then seeing the big camera improvement and better battery life, here I am.

The one thing I'm worried about, as a guy who keeps his iPhone in a back pocket, is the always-on lock screen. Is there a risk of dismissing notifications while handling the phone — e.g., putting the phone in or out of a back pocket — or do notifications remain hidden until the screen is unlocked? Thanks.

When the phone senses it is in a pocket or face down, the screen will turn off to save battery life. Even if that weren’t the case, I would imagine you’d have to wake the screen (raise or tap) before you could interact with anything on it.
