Has anyone ever had their iPhone hacked?
I got a call from O2, my UK provider, it was them, not a spam or scam call. At the end they said they had a cheap deal on mcafee for up to 5 handsets.
If I only get apps from iTunes, and only sync with my PC that has norton, and macbook that never sees any virus, where's the risk to my iPhone? They claim there are virus that can get on the iPhone. I've never heard of anyone having their iPhone attacked.
Does it happen? and what is the real risk to the average user?
They also offer other unique functions, like locating my phone if I lose it (just like "find my iPhone"), and locking it if stolen (O2 can do that anytime with the IMEI). Not the best sales pitch when you point out all that is already there.
Does the appleid still stop other iTunes connecting to the phone and wiping it if you are logged in?
