Let me set this up a little bit.
I have a rMBP, 2.6/16/512 hooked into a 24" HDMI display, soon to be paired with the Thunderbolt display, then replaced with another Thunderbolt display.
I have a 40" Samsung 1080p TV as well that I use to play PS3 and watch movies. The 24" monitor is not large enough to enjoy a movie on and...
I don't want to have to move my rMBP to the 40" TV just to watch a movie.
So, I went out and bought an apple TV yesterday. I hooked it up, very simple.
Started playing a movie and it lags! It's very slight stepping going on... So annoying! Hook the laptop up to the TV directly and it's fine. AirPlay the movie to the TV and it lags SO BAD!
Why does it do this? How do I fix it? Should I just take it back?
