Evening all.

I recently purchased a rMBP, 2.7 i7, 16gb Ram, 512 SSD. I Bootcamped Win7 64bit onto a 45gig partition. As I only game at my desk, I installed Steam and all games to an external drive over USB3.

I'd suggest this to anyone space conscious, as it seems to work. I'm not sure if I'd see any real performance issues other than increased load times?

So, I was following this thread:

And installed the Drivers suggested along with the edited inf file.

Again - it seems to work, as it recognises my 630m. However, I just thought I'd drop in to see if there are any other tips for getting the most out of the machine. I can run Batman:Arkham City at high settings on 1920x1200, and Fallout: New Vegas auto detected at "Ultra".

The latter runs at 60FPS with Fraps and the former at 30. While 30 is comfortable - this chap got 50-60...?

I wonder whether I might be doing something wrong?

Also - the machine gets pretty hot up on the top side, but generally I'm really satisfied with its ability to game.

I hope that a) someone finds this info useful, and b) people feel like sharing any thoughts on how I've set things up? I'm comfortable with most PC related things, but the intricacies of Drivers is not one of my strengths...
