Hey all. I am setting my dad up with an iPhone SE via my Xfinity Mobile account, adding a line for him. He buys high end stereo gear, and wants a solution to output audio from the iPhone, and connect it via RCA to his receiver. I understand we could just buy some RCA cable and adapt straight from the headphone out / thunderbolt port... but he's insisting on getting the best quality I can find to do that.

My question is, with something like the RME Babyface as a solution, does the Babyface do the conversion? So it shouldn't sound tinny as it would just running from a headphone adapter to the stereo, the audio should be as good as the RME can provide, correct?

Thank you sincerely for any replies.
