Road show for new iPhone 8, etc

Can someone tell me why the ONLY browser I can use to watch today's debut of the iPhone8 is Safari. Opera, Firefox and Chrome all report

"Your browser doesn’t support live streaming of the event."

Firefox doesn't support HTML live streaming.

Not sure about Chrome or Opera.

Microsoft Edge on windows 10 works fine.

Must be the same for Chrome and Opera as I get the same error message. While I have MS Edge on a Windows 10 computer, I'm not interest in watching it there. Right now I'm waiting to watch it via my ATV4 under "Special Events", an App that I didn't have.
