I know it's been mentioned but I haven't seen any threads on it here I read up on it when looking at some of the other sites over at TUAW they have a article I figured for a $1.99 it was worth a try. I just bought it I will try to play with it today a little. post some screen shots etc. here is a link to the App Roadee and the article

TUAW LiNK Roadee

I think this would be a great app to have if you already have a dedicated GPS unit or one built into your vehicle. It would come in handy if you are a passenger in a friends vehicle and you needed a GPS in a quick pinch.

This could show promise. Look at OpenOffice.org compared to Microsoft. For a Free Application, it is Great! I even use that one now more than Office.

I hope Roadee is able to do the same.

I admit Pika

Poorman's TomTom.

I a poor Man I already own a TomTom 910 it's old but it has more features then the TomTom app. Most of the time I don't need it too me paying 99 bucks for something I already have and need is crazy. It's defiantly not great and hopefully will improve in time.

pros
Cheap $1.99
has voice no street names
gets you o where you need to go.
they plan to update regularly
keeps up with you pretty well speed directions etc.

Cons
Slow Mapping even on 3G S graphics hang up allot
interface isn't the best (but again works)
will not allow you to run music in background even on jailbroken iphone running backgrounder.
maps not pretty
