I'm considering getting RR but I have a few questions:

Does roadrunner work well with the mac?
How is their customer service?

Thanks!

Works just fine. Just plug in the numbers.

The one time I needed to call them, it was fine once I got someone on the phone who knew what a Mac was.

I have Road Runner (Time Warner Cable Central NY).

It works fine with Macs...it's just an ISP. You run an ethernet cable from the modem to your Mac, or do your router for wireless/wired connection. There's no Mac/PC about it.

In my experience their customer service is excellent. If it goes down, and I call, they have always sent someone within an hour to my house to diagnose and fix the problem. They go all out to fix it too, including running an entire new cable line to your pole if your connection isn't functioning properly.

I had Verizon DSL before RR and RR is amazing in every way compared to Verizon.

As far as phone support goes, they do have Mac people, but they're not super knowledgeable. They know more than the majority of other companies though...

I've had RoadRunner for a few months (Time Warner, Southern California). The service has been good, with few major issue, that I could attribute to RoadRunner anyway. The installer was very helpful, but they insisted that some dumb rule in the book required the installation of a new drop line to our house in a different location, which I did not appreciate one bit. Tech support was helpful without a long wait, the one time I used them. Customer service is another matter. They screwed up my first billing royally, double-charging me for services I did not buy. It was a pain to straighten out, and even now I'm not convinced that is has been completely. You deal with big companies, this is what you get, I guess.
