I still can't decide if I will use either but I am wondering if with Roboform you can create a new login on the iOS app or must you use the desktop version of the program on your mac or windows pc ?

Disclaimer: I work for AgileBits, makers of 1Password

If you have any specific questions about 1Password let me know. Happy to help however I can.

On our iOS app you can create new items directly from the application, or if you're on a webpage in Safari you can invoke the Share sheet and then open 1Password's extension which will allow you to create a new login, and on most pages it will also grab the username and password from the page and pre-fill them into the login item. The sites it won't work on are those that insert their login forms inside of iframes.

I can really recommend KeePass free open source password software on all devices you can add passwords, synchronise your database among other things. The databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently known (AES and Twofish).

Great apps out there on iOS are KyPass 4, KeePass Touch and MiniKeePass. Kypass 4 is most complete out of them and there is no subscription charges. Just pay once for the app developer.

Been using 1Password for years. I’ve tried them all and this was the most user friendly one I found. Even my mom who’s in her 70’s can use it.

You can pay the developer once OR they do offer a subscription with other features.
