Anybody have any recommendations for a usb hub with an external power source to use with the new Mini?

Looking for one with 7-10 ports that can power a couple external drives (WD Passport) as well as peripheral stuff. Seen some of the others that people have mentioned but the reviews are pretty split - looking to see if anybody has a rock solid one that they've used for a good amount of time and if it looks good that would be cool too!

Thanks

I have 2 10tb wd drives on it. A thumb drive. Plus webcam. Plus magic trackpad 2 (not supposed to charge things on it). I had to plug the drives, one at a time, into the mac mini to get them recognized but once recognized I simply ejected, turned it off then brought it up after I plugged into the hub. I suspect I’m at the limit, capacity wise, of things plugged in. The apple external dvd drive certainly didn’t want to be plugged into the hub but directly to the mini, it said so upon trying to mount it.

This is going to be pretty much a crapshoot.

There's so much different "USB stuff" out there, with different controllers, etc., that there are chances of ending up with at least one device that "acts flaky".

The only way is to pick the hub you like best and "give it a try".

Reading user reviews (particularly from those who have Macs) can help somewhat...

Yep, a crapshoot. But I’m happy with mine. But then mine was only a $24 or so crapshoot with a good return policy with amazon.

Might try Anker or the one harriska2 posted. Finding one with a good user rating is tough - all the hubs I've seen that are above 4 stars have way too few reviews...

Wish somebody made good looking powered hub in space grey!

I have two 4-port hubs one USB-A and one USB-C and just charge my phone and iPad on wall worts. One hub is USB 3.0 and the other is 3.1. The Anker USB-A hub does interfere with my wifi signal, which was verified by unplugging the hub and connecting to the wifi network.
