I have some questions about rockyourphone that I'm hoping someone can answer.
Sorry for all the questions, but I found the rockyourphone site to be less than informative on these issues, and only found a handful of references to rockyourphone on this site as well. Thank you.
- My main question is: Is it straightforward to completely undo whatever modifications rockyourphone makes to your phone? If I jailbreak my phone, I can undo that completely by simply doing a Restore from iTunes. Will the same thing work for rockyourphone? I saw a mention of it modifying the phone's baseband, and my understanding is that that wouldn't be undone by just doing a restore in iTunes. It concerns me that I couldn't find any instructions on rockyourphone's site about uninstalling it.
- Does it require first jailbreaking with QuickPwn/redsn0w/whatever, or is rockyourphone an alternative jailbreak method? The instructions on the rockyourphone site make no mention of jailbreaking first; they just say to run their desktop app, but I don't know if that's because they've just incorporated the Dev Team's jailbreak code into their own desktop app, or if they do something different.
- If the answer to the previous question is that rockyourphone does its own version of jailbreak, then my next question would be, will it conflict with Dev Team jailbreak? Can I do both?
- Does rockyourphone cause any other problems? I understand that individual rockyourphone apps might cause problems, but I'm wondering if the rockyourphone app itself has caused anyone any problems with their phone, like shortening battery life, or causing crashes.
