iPhone Rockyracoon?

I was just browsing this forum and saw a thread that talked about a new untethered iOS 6 jailbreak, it gave a link which I followed and was to rockyracoon. I then came back here to see if there was any more discussion to find the thread was gone.

Is rockyracoon not a legitimate jailbreak, I can't find much talk about it on google and wondering why the thread was deleted? I suppose it must be because something isn't right about it?

Could someone enlighten me?

Rockyracoon is the untethered part of the 5.1.1 jailbreak.

I believe the post you are referring to was a scam site misusing the rockyracoon name.

hence they would have deleted it

Thank you, I'll delete the software downloaded from the link then, what is the scam out of interest? If I did run it with the phone connected what would have happened?
