Decide. Right now. Which one is the best new game?

I can't make up my mind on which one to get. At first I was leaning towards Sim City, since I used to love playing that game. This iPhone version looks quite impressive. But then I saw the Rolando demo posted by arn on TouchArcade.com, and the gameplay, graphics, music, physics...pretty much everything looks amazing. I've already spent too much money on the app store and am trying to cut back. Which one should I choose?

I vote none to help you "cut back" more :p

but honestly I lean more to Sim city for high replay compared to the limited levels of Rolando

IMHO, I would have to choose Rolando... I've got both, and I just see myself playing Rolando more often. Sim City is a bit too involved for me...

I vote SimCity, for replay value and involvement. Some report crashes but seems fine on my 3G 2.2.

BOTH!!!

But honesty Sim City is very time consuming. If your looking for NINTENDO quality graphics and gameplay Rolando is it!!

Ill have a review on both in a few days here..(Not that anyone waits anymore!)

I bought both! Rolando reminds me of the Mario Brothers games and the old Game Boy days. Very fun.

I decided to go with Rolando for now. I figure with Sim City I've been there, done that, although mainly with Sim City 2000 and briefly with Sim City 4000 that I borrowed. EA puts their apps on sale rather often, so I can just be patient and wait it out. Christmas is just around the corner and I'm expecting similar sales from many developers like we saw during Thanksgiving week.

As for Rolando. Holy wow, good times. It did bring back many memories. The way its not just side scrolling, like Mario, is neat. Kinda like Sonic. And the little Rolandos have so much personality. There are just so many little touches of polish in the game. The way objects react is super realistic too, like a better version of Jelly Car. This could be a sign of things to come for Apple's new gaming platform. You can't get the same experience on anything else. Definitely a killer app.

I don't have rolando, but I do have sim city. And I'd say it's pretty easy to tell that while it'll last for a while and be great fun, there IS a limit of 36 levels. Sim city on the other hand, has infinite replayability. I'd go with sim city if I were you.

That's a tough one...

The best app available today (Sim City)
Or a five minute wonder (Rolando).

Mmmmmm.

I'd have to disagree with the "5 minute wonder" comment. Rolando has quite a bit of replay value because of all the achievements you can get.
