Role of "automatic" in wallpaper field

Hi, guys, I cannot figure out the function of the "automatic" selection in the Sonoma Wallpaper window (top left); so far, I cannot see any automation in which wallpaper is chosen, which I do manually. Any suggestions, please? Thanks.

What "Automatic" does is uses the Light version of the wallpaper during the daytime and the Dark version of the wallpaper during the nighttime.

Thanks! Still, it doesn't act that way. Perhaps I haven't adjusted day/night times properly. How do I do that?😌
