I read somewhere on here a while ago that Oregon trail was coming to the iphone, on an IGN website or something. Doesn anyone know anything about this, or have an update?

I checked, and couldn't find anything.

Also, what are some other role playing apps... know of anything good?

I only know [app]Vay[/app], somehow it features some classic style of RPGs. Not the best graphics so far but it is a pretty strong start for RPGs, not to mention it is priced well. It also has an auto-save feature (which I'm telling you is very very important) and the game requires probably less then a day straight to finish (if you play it straight) So far this was the best first purchase I've made for my iPhone (yup I bought an RPG game first before everything else hehe)

I forgot to mention, it is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars in the US App store

It has that RPG classic style since it's a real RPG from 1994 on the Sega CD. Though the new developer has added some hand drawn graphics (love or hate as some see amateurish), but they can be turned off, and the enemies also have more animation to them while keeping the original graphics.

I haven't played it much since when it launched it lacked a lot of features that made it annoying. Like having no idea what weapon you buy could be equipped to, what items do, etc. Then when all those useful updates came, my iPhone crashed one day (not from this game) and my backup was corrupt on iTunes, so I lost my progress.

There is a future RPG coming designed and created just for the iPhone. I think it has a single player campaign (claiming 100 hours), then once finished it will have an online multiplayer feature.
