Ok, I'm a PC to Mac switcher in progress (New mac in 2 weeks), I have a new 16 gig iphone, jailbroken.

I have an FTP client, but obvioulsy I dont know how to use it. First off, nearly every set of directions i see says the route is root/library/media/roms/genesis.....problem is I have no media folder. I have tried creating this exact path, to no avail. I creat it, install the roms, reset my iphone, start my emulator which promtly tells me I have no roms.

I realize this is a mac forum, but has anyone ran into this problem? I've searched and messed around with this for hours on end, I have no more ideas.

Please help....TIA,

John

Try searching on Google before posting next time.

Wow...thanks so much for the help, I dont know which I liked better, the link that never finishes loading or the snide comment that came with it.....whats Google?

I said in my original post I searched for hours. Do you honestly think I didnt try searching in GOOGLE? I watched 15-20 Youtube videos detailing the process, searched in google, yahoo, this forum and experemented with creating the Media folder in my FTP client BEFORE posting here.

Do yourself a favor and Google etiquette, just because your anonymous doesnt mean you absolutley have to be a D-bag when someone asks for help.

That aside, I cant open that link, so I'll keep searching. I'll go try searching that forum, see if I can find what you posted.

Open installer and add this source :-

Code:
http://markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo/repo.plist

Install Bigboss' NES Roms package and you should then discover loads of roms

Thank you, I cant try it right now, (my work building is a black hole for service and our internal net is not wireless) but this seems pretty straight forward...

Appreciate it!

I've tried this about a dozen times and nothing. I made sure I was 1000% it was typed in correctly and nothing. Any idea why??

look at the link I posted above. Look at the very last post in that thread.

If you're having problems with :-

Code:
http://markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo/repo.plist

Try this one :-

Code:
http://s.apfelphone.net

You will then find a new section called apfelphone fun in installer, which contains a couple of nes packs, both of which work on 1.1.4. ;)

Or add this to the source list:

123locker.com

NES roms will show, you can install and play right away.

If you FTP, the path should contain Mobile in it. I believe it's Root/Mobile/Media...etc. Or something along that line. Once you find Mobile, the rest is laid out.

I don't have the path handy, but I know that Mobile is in it, and none of the sites reference it.

im pretty sure the folder names are case sensitive.

this is where you should put your rom files

/private/var/root/Media/ROMs/GENESIS/

MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT CAPITALIZATIONS!

try this out and let me know if it works. if you still need help with the FTP client let me know
