No way I know in the store unless they will let you put it in DFU mode in the store and plug it into a Mac, then read info under About this Mac, USB heading.

unless a certain store hasnt been selling iphones at all (which would mean they have old shipments), theres no chance of getting an iPhone with the old boot rom
