Hi, I issued:

softwareupdate --install-rosetta

and agreed with the license agreement.

Then, I got:

"Package Authoring Error: 071-86421: Package reference com.apple.pkg.RosettaUpdateAuto is missing installKBytes attribute

Install of Rosetta 2 finished successfully"

Next, I went to Library/CoreServices and double clicked 'Rosetta 2 updater'. Tried a few times but I keep getting error and try again message.

Updated from 12.0 to 12.01 but the problem still remains.

Anybody knows how to fix this?

I fixed it by reinstalling the OS using recovery mode; no files or settings are lost in the process.

I reinstalled macOS but I still get the error:
sudo /usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
