I currently have a 1.33GHz G4 Powerbook 17" with 2Gb of RAM, and I've been lusting after a 20" Intel iMac with 2Gb of RAM and a 500Gb hard drive. However, I don't know whether it's just technojoy.

Has anyone done intensive graphical tasks on an Intel iMac using apps that run in Rosetta (as I presume Photoshop and Illustrator CS would do)? How fast were they?

I just don't want to fork out for the iMac and then sit around waiting for the Intel versions of Photoshop etc. to see any difference...

You are probably going to want to get 2GB RAM with your new Intel Mac because Rosetta is meant to really eat up RAM.
