According to gizmodo, apple show a multitouch screen much like the "surface" from Microsoft.

Gizmodo: Rosie apple multitouch

According to the article is very buggy and slow.. what's the point apple doing something like this? Just to catch M$ in this type of industry?!

I don't think its an official Apple project. Seems they are just using Macs and using a custom written UI on top of OSX.

Anyone have more details??

Well the title in the link says "...Rosie Apple-Powered..." that suggests it's not an official Apple product.

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/savant/rosie-coffee-table-is-apple-surface-296534.php

According to the link in the main article,

Apple may not have responded to Microsoft with a surface clone, but another company is stepping up to the plate for them. Home A/V company Savant has announced their new ROSIE coffee table, a 40-inch touchscreen Apple computer in a form reminiscent of Microsoft's Surface.

So... Yea.. Its not officially from apple. Thankfully.

EDIT: Darn. I should really read the whole thread first
