Office 2016 on my OS X 10.10.4 2012 27" iMac is displaying fonts poorly. The fonts in excel and word now look jagged and are roughly rendered. Some documents and fonts look better than others, but arial looks particularly bad. Also, older files appear worse than new files, which is a big problem since i use a number of forms in my business. Any thoughts on what's going on here and how to fix it?

I'm not having the same issue, however, I have determined that the new Office apps have fonts embedded within each App - and almost all of the embedded fonts are of a newer version than those installed in different versions of Office. I have not had time to investigate this further.

A suggestion for Excel: Make a copy of a workbook you're having issues with, then - in the copied file - Select All of the contents in a worksheet and change the font to Arial and check the results.

As for Word, use the Font Substitution command to something that's suitable and check the results.

That's all I've got for you, for now...

I also am having this issue (jagged Arial font in Word 2016).
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan, just installed Office 2016.
