I tried searching everywhere and unable to get the info.

Mac OS button are too darn small. Even with a excellent mouse you still have to be a gamer to hit the open and close buttons with precision.

Windows has a option to change the size of the buttons.

I hoping one is able to do the same thing in MacOS ?

Not knowing an answer to your question, but just my 2 cents: I was missing "maximize windows" instead of "fullscreen" (Menu bar and dock still visible but window maximized).
BetterTouchTool lets you define the behaviour but more importantly, it adds "window snapping" (like introduced in Windows 7). So you just drag the window to the top or left etc. and it snaps to the edges/maximizes.
So more convenient than maneuvering to the button.
To minimize I double click a window (set in Dock preferences).
edit: This is just a side-function of BetterTouchTool which lets you customize shortcuts, keys, mouse-/trackpad-gestures, touchbar, and so much more in a very structured interface.

Thanks for chiming in. Will have to give it a test drive.

I just miss being able to adjust the size of the buttons on windows. I'm really surprised there's not that option I could find for Mac.

In Windows 10 you can use Reg editor. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

You could just use keyboard shortcuts.

command-m=minimize active window to the dock/option-command-m=minimize all windows from active app to the dock
control-command-f=make window full screen if supported by app
command-w=close active window/option-command-w=close all windows from active app
command-q=close and quit active app.

Thanks for the info folks. unfortunately those shortcuts interfere with my Pro Tools shortcuts.

Whats surprises me is that there is no option like windows has.

I GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR VALUABLE TIME, THANKS.

You can create custom shortcuts under the Keyboard preference pane if you like.

Do you have a very high resolution screen setup, i.e. tiny text, or a large mouse cursor....?

On my screens it is very easy to select the correct button....!

Yeah I have a a 42" HD Samsung.

Second monitor is a 26" and that's where I more than most would gravitate to those buttons where I keep all the Effects plugins. Most shortcuts are being used within Pro Tools.
