rpm Speeds of Fans in iMac

Hi,

My iMac seems to be a lot more noisier (a low humming noise, maybe the fans), than it was when i purchased it in a couple of months ago. When I first got it, it was the quietness and boot time which I was impressed with more than anything. Now it's noisier and boot times have doubled.

I have noticed that the fans for for HD and CPU constantly spin at 1200rpm or more, with no applications open and as soon as I switch on my iMac.

Has anyone experienced this or know what it causing this???

HD fan is automatically 1600rpm and CPU 1200rpm. Download OnyX to speed up your boot

Thats fair enough, but why does the iMac seem a lot louder than it was previously?

Have had Onyx for some time now, ran all the checks and it has not done anything for me
